New release: updates in Cloud Monitoring, Customer Rewards and Stripe modules!

For anyone using Cloud Monitoring, Customer Rewards and Stripe modules we have exciting new features added, and for those who don’t use the modules – a couple more reasons to do so!

Cloud Monitoring

Cloud Monitoring module for HostBill allows to offer your client’s hosts monitoring either for free – as a sub-product to your cloud/dedicated offering, or charge per monitoring with premium check interval. You can also limit monitored hosts per customer account in monitoring package configuration. It’s a module with a wide range of automation features and client panel functionalities. The biggest change in today’s release is the support for metrics / metered billing, which means that you can set limits of resource usage, monitor it and trigger certain actions upon exceeding the limits. You can read more about the Metrics feature in this blog post. On the admin side, we added the possibility to edit hosts already added by client and a new variable – $notificationdate for sms/mobile and email templates. On the client side, now you can enjoy an updated clientarea UI for more responsive and mobile friendly graphing library!

Customer Rewards

A great marketing tool that can help you build your customer loyalty is Customer Rewards plugin, which enables to reward your customers by adding to their account a certain amount of points for certain events, such as: registration, adding contacts, ordering certain products, signing up to your affiliate program and more – the list is quite long. Today we added a few more – Domain Registration, Domain Transfer and Domain Renew. Once the customer collects a specific amount of points you can reward them with: credit, promotion to a client group or a coupon code!

Stripe

The Stripe module for HostBill supports multiple payment methods, Stripe Intents SEPA Direct Debit being one of them. Thanks to the module improvements it is now possible to manually add existing Stripe customer mandate in admin UI and set statement descriptor. Additionally, the module now stores mandate_reference that can be used on the invoice template.

Release notes

In other release notes we introduce improved admin management UI in multiple sections of Affiliates, option to control if Personal & Group discounts should be recalculated if changed (in General Settings -> Billing -> Misc) and updates in Observium, DirectAdmin and more – all listed in the Changelog on our website!
