In the first release in 2025 we’re presenting a new e-invoicing module which supports ZUGFeRD e-invoices and allows to generate, store and export XML invoices!

New HostBill module provides support for ZUGFeRD – one of the two established e-invoice formats in Germany. 

The ZUGFeRD  is a standardized electronic invoice format that was developed to simplify and automate the exchange of invoices between companies, public authorities and other organizations. It’s a unique hybrid format that combines a human-readable PDF/A-3 file with a machine-readable XML file that contains all invoice data in a structured format. This combination enables both easy readability for humans and efficient, automated processing by computer systems. It also meets EU digital requirements and is backed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. 

An e-invoice has the same legal validity as a paper invoice: it is a receipt for the delivery of goods or provision of services. E-invoicing is an increasingly valuable tool and provides great advantages and benefits to users, such as a reduction in costs, the improvement of business management, of payments and collections and many others.

HostBill plugin enables users to generate XML invoices automatically each time an invoice is created or manually upon request as well as store and export XML invoices for electronic invoicing.
