New: AI Fraud Protection

Security is at the core of every hosting business, and with this release, we’re taking it to the next level. We’re introducing a brand-new AI FraudProtection module, designed to intelligently detect suspicious activity and reduce fraud risks automatically.

AI Fraud Protection module

AI Fraud Protection is an advanced HostBill module designed to help you detect and prevent fraudulent activity at the earliest stages of customer interaction. By leveraging artificial intelligence, the module evaluates risk during order placement, allowing you to make smarter, faster decisions without manual intervention.

The module analyzes key customer data such as name, email address, location, and IP address to generate a fraud risk score on a scale from 0 to 100. Based on your configured threshold, high-risk orders can be automatically rejected, helping you reduce chargebacks, abuse, and operational overhead. Additionally, suspicious IP addresses can be instantly blocked to prevent repeated fraudulent attempts.

AI Fraud Protection is fully customizable, giving you complete control over how the AI evaluates risk. You can tailor the prompt sent to the AI model to match your business profile, industry specifics, and risk tolerance. The module works seamlessly with any AI connection configured in HostBill, ensuring flexibility and easy integration into your existing setup.

With AI Fraud Protection, you gain a powerful, automated layer of security that adapts to your business and scales with your growth.

Release notes

For two of our 2FA plugins we’ve made the login process more streamlined while maintaining strong security standards. Both Email 2FA and Mobile 2FA now include an option to automatically send verification codes as soon as the login process begins. This removes unnecessary steps and ensures users receive their authentication codes instantly, making secure access faster and more convenient.

For businesses using Poland’s National e-Invoicing System (KSeF), we’ve added new options to improve flexibility and compliance. You can now configure the system to always include bank details on invoices, regardless of their status. In addition, it is now possible to download the exported XML version of invoices, making it easier to archive, audit, and share documents as required.

We’ve also improved how the Gateway Per Client plugin works. You can now define and control a client’s access to specific payment gateways after a successful transaction. This allows for more refined payment management, better risk control, and greater flexibility in handling different customer scenarios.

To improve both performance and security, we’ve introduced rate-limiting for search endpoints in the client area. This enhancement helps prevent abuse caused by excessive or automated requests while ensuring better stability and responsiveness under heavy load.

We also continue to expand HostBill’s API to provide greater flexibility for developers and system integrations. A new API call, removeTicketTag, has been added, allowing you to programmatically remove tags from support tickets.
