The latest HostBill update brings a series of improvements within HostBill Affiliate System, designed to streamline the workflow for administrators, enhance transparency for affiliates, and give you more control over the entire referral process.

Affiliate System enhancements

HostBill has built-in comprehensive affiliate system, which is a perfect tool to use to gain more traffic and boost sales. Now we’ve introduced a range of powerful improvements designed to make managing affiliates easier, more efficient, and more flexible.

Add Affiliate Commissions Using Order ID

Admins can now link an entire order to an affiliate when manually adding a commission. In the Affiliate details panel, you can simply enter the Order ID, and HostBill will automatically associate the full order with the affiliate, making manual adjustments more intuitive and consistent.

Auto-Calculated Commission Values

When creating a new commission from the admin UI, the commission value is now calculated automatically based on the selected order. No more typing amounts manually — HostBill handles it for you, helping prevent errors and speeding up the process.

Custom Terms of Service for Affiliate Signup

You can now define a Terms of Service document for affiliate signups directly in the Affiliate settings.
Customers joining the affiliate program will be required to accept the TOS in the Client Area before completing registration, ensuring clarity and compliance from the very beginning.

In line with the new affiliate TOS feature, several HostBill themes have been updated to include a Terms acceptance checkbox on the affiliate signup page (Nextgen Clean, 2019 Template, Cloudy Theme, Design11, Y-Server Theme, FlatUi and Modern Panel) to ensure consistent compliance and user experience across all popular HostBill templates.

New Email Notifications for Affiliate Signups

When a client joins the affiliate program, both the affiliate and the staff will now receive automatic email notifications. This improves visibility, speeds up response times and helps you stay on top of new affiliate activity.

Optional Admin Review for New Affiliate Registrations

Affiliate signups can now be configured to require admin approval. With this option enabled, new affiliates will appear in the Admin Area where they can be manually reviewed and approved — giving you more control and preventing misuse of the program.

Refined Control Over Commission & Withdrawal Balance Recalculation

Admins now have the ability to decide whether deleting a referral or removing an entry from the withdrawal log should trigger commission balance recalculation. This added flexibility ensures you can manage affiliate balances precisely the way your workflows require.

Release notes

Beyond affiliate enhancements, this release includes several usability, security, and UI upgrades. A new label-change shortcut has been added to the Accounts/Domains section. Admins can now simply click a label to edit it instantly — making organization faster and more intuitive. To help maintain support quality and prevent abuse, HostBill now includes a rate limiter for newly opened tickets as well as for ticket replies. This protects your support team from spam or excessive ticket activity and ensures smoother communication. Redundant webhook logging for Coinpayments has been removed, reducing noise in logs and improving clarity in payment-related activity tracking. A new option in HostBill SEO allows you to bypass SEO overrides for custom pages. This gives you more control over metadata for specific content and improves compatibility with manually designed pages.
