HostBill new release

New release: updates in System Logs, DNS Zones, API ACL page, SolusVM & more!

At HostBill, we’re constantly working to make your hosting automation experience smarter, faster, and more flexible. In this release we’re introducing a batch of updates that span across our core system and modules — all aimed at improving your workflow. Here’s what’s new this week!

Admin panel enhancements

We’ve added a new API method that allows you to generate service invoices on demand. This offers more flexibility in billing automation and third-party system integrations. Perfect for developers who need fine-grained control over invoicing behavior. Keeping track of automation has never been easier. You can now view a detailed automation task log directly in System Logs, improving transparency and simplifying debugging. In DNS Services, you can now view DNS zone lists directly in account details — making it easier to manage and monitor DNS configurations without digging through different sections. In this release we’ve also given the API ACL page a facelift. The improved interface makes editing permissions for your API users more intuitive and user-friendly. When creating new products or addons, the default tax setting is now enabled by default (if a tax group exists), streamlining your setup process and reducing manual configuration.

Modules updates

In SEPA Direct Debit we enabled Staff Notifications for New Batches. Staff members will now receive email alerts when a new SEPA Direct Debit batch is created. This ensures your team stays informed and can act promptly when new transactions are initiated. SolusVM module has a new dedicated client function to reset the root password, improving self-service capabilities and reducing support requests. Another new feature is the ability for clients to quickly log in to their SolusVM 2 instances directly from the HostBill client portal. One-click access, simplified. For Multibrand mouse we added Initial Client Group per Brand feature, so you can assign an “Initial Client Group” to your default brand, making client onboarding more structured and tailored per brand identity. In Litespeed Reseller Module admins can now sync licenses directly from the admin area, even when only the license ID is available. You can also set the license serial/IP manually for more flexible license management. In Email Verification you can now configure the system to skip email verification for users signing up via SSO modules to maintain a seamless onboarding experience for clients using single sign-on without compromising account security.
