New release: improved ticket management, invoice/estimate tax handling, system log & more!

This week’s HostBill release brings a mix of improvements and fixes across the Admin area, designed to make managing your HostBull platform even smoother. Take a closer look at what’s new!

Updates in the admin panel

In HostBill Ticketing system managing support tickets just got more intuitive. Ticket status colors are now displayed next to the ticket subject, making it easier to prioritize, filter, and respond at a glance.

Transparency and accountability are key when it comes to financial operations. From now on, any changes made to payment module configuration will be recorded in the System Log, giving you a clear audit trail and better control over who did what, and when. Entries in the System Log show various events in HostBill such as configuration changes, invoice generation, client updates and more. The System Log tab also provides information about who made the changes and when exactly. You can filter the data by action performed, username or IP address.

This week we improved invoice and estimate tax handling. HostBill now stores tax settings as they were when an invoice or estimate was created. This ensures that historical documents always reflect the correct tax context, even if tax rules are updated later—providing more consistent, accurate financial records.

We’ve also resolved an issue where post-pay pro-rata addons added in the admin UI weren’t being properly pro-rated at the end of their billing cycle. This fix ensures addons always align correctly with the customer’s billing cycle.

A several updates concern modules. We’ve added DNSSEC management for Moniker, allowing you to strengthen domain security with easier key management directly in HostBill. The HostBill URL Shortener now supports specifying a custom domain for the s.ee sub-module, giving you more branding options for short links.
