Power your hosting business and automate 20i shared hosting through HostBill!
A new HostBill release brings new automation capabilities, smarter admin controls, and enhanced security tools—headlined by the release of the new 20i provisioning module for HostBill!
20i Hosting module
The new 20i Hosting Module for HostBill allows service providers to seamlessly resell shared hosting services from 20i while managing the entire customer lifecycle directly within HostBill. The module connects HostBill to the 20i platform to automate provisioning, billing, and service management, making it easy to offer reliable shared hosting plans without manual intervention.
From a billing perspective, the module enables you to resell 20i shared hosting plans as standard HostBill products, allowing you to invoice customers, apply upgrades and downgrades, and manage recurring charges in a fully automated way. Usage and service data are synchronized between HostBill and 20i to ensure that customer providers and plan changes are reflected accurately in your billing system.
The automation features handle the full service lifecycle, including automatic account creation when an order is paid, as well as suspend, unsuspend, and terminate actions triggered directly from HostBill. Customers can also upgrade or downgrade their hosting plans, with changes being applied in 20i and reflected back in HostBill without manual processing.
On the client side, customers can view their hosting access details directly in the HostBill Client Portal and log into the 20i control panel using single sign-on, creating a smooth and unified user experience. For administrators, the module provides centralized visibility into billing and service status, along with full control over account lifecycle actions from the HostBill admin area, reducing operational overhead and improving service delivery.
Release notes
Alongside the new module, we’ve added several powerful admin and platform enhancements. Forms in the admin area now support single-form export, making it easier to analyze submissions and share data with other teams or systems. Order handling has been improved so that if an order contains only one account and that account is terminated, the order is automatically marked as cancelled, keeping records clean and accurate without manual updates.
To give administrators more precise control, we’ve introduced a separate ACL permission for changing ticket statuses. This allows you to limit sensitive actions to specific staff roles while still giving others access to respond to tickets. Knowledgebase management has also been enhanced with the ability to mark articles as staff-only, making it easier to maintain internal documentation and support guidelines that are not visible to clients.
Security and collaboration in the client area have also been improved. The Password Manager now supports client-side password sharing, allowing users to securely create and manage shares directly from the client portal. This makes it easier for teams to collaborate without exposing sensitive credentials through insecure channels.
