This week in HostBill: enhancements for API tools, smarter admin control over clients ACLs, and more advanced integration options for Virtualizor, Proxmox and Xero.com!

API Enhancements

With the new release developers gain new tools to streamline workflows and integrations. SSL Ordering via API: The addOrderDraftItem method now supports ordering and configuring SSL certificates directly through the API, allowing for smoother and more automated provisioning processes. New Draft Order Calls: we’ve added two new API calls – getClientDraftOrders and getClientDraftOrder – giving developers access to detailed information about client draft orders, improving integration with custom portals and dashboards.

Admin Area Improvements

ACLs in HostBill are a key component of secure and efficient team management, as they allow to define precise permissions for staff members, staff teams and clients, ensuring that each user has access only to the areas and functions relevant to their role. ACLs are divided into various categories, such as affiliates, billing, support, provisioning, system configuration, security, miscellaneous. In this release we introduced a new option for admins, who can now review the full ACL (Access Control List) configuration for services and domains for a guest even if the client has no active items, providing clearer insight and easier troubleshooting.

In this release the Products & Services section has also received a design update to improve the usability of customize orderpage settings, making it easier to configure and manage product order forms.

Integration Updates

When in comes to integrations, Proxmox has new Admin API methods, that allow administrators to manage virtual machines and network interfaces directly via API — enhancing automation for Proxmox-based environments. In Virtualizor product configuration now supports selecting multiple IP Pools, giving you more flexibility when assigning network resources. A new feature in Xero.com Integration allows importing Overpayments, improving synchronization between HostBill and your Xero accounting data for more accurate financial reporting.
