Sell GPUaaS with Hosted.ai and HostBill!

We’re excited to announce a new HostBill update that brings powerful improvements across billing, security, and integrations, highlighted by the release of our brand-new Hosted.ai provisioning module!

Hosted.ai module for HostBill

The new Hosted.ai Integration Module for HostBill enables service providers to seamlessly sell, automate, and bill GPU-as-a-Service (GPUaaS) offerings directly from HostBill. Designed for accuracy, scalability, and full lifecycle control, this module connects HostBill with Hosted.ai to deliver real-time usage-based billing and powerful automation.

With the module you can monetize Hosted.ai resources with precise, usage-based billing automatically synced to HostBill. Billing can be calculated based on multiple resource dimensions, including GPU, vRAM, RAM, CPU, TFlops, shared storage, and the number of running instances, making it suitable for both pay-as-you-go and flexible pricing models.

Beyond billing, the module delivers deep automation for account provisioning and lifecycle management. When a service is ordered, HostBill can automatically create a team in Hosted.ai and assign the appropriate pricing, resource, image, service, and instance policies. Ongoing service control is handled directly from HostBill, allowing administrators to suspend, unsuspend, or terminate teams without manual intervention, ensuring consistent policy enforcement and reduced operational effort.

On the client side, the integration enhances the HostBill Client Portal by displaying real-time resource usage, giving customers clear visibility into their consumption and costs. Users can also access the Hosted.ai Enhance platform through single sign-on with one-click login from HostBill, providing a smooth and unified user experience.

For administrators, the module offers centralized control over billing details and account lifecycle management from the HostBill admin area. Usage, invoicing, and service status can all be viewed and managed in one place, enabling providers to efficiently operate, scale, and monetize their Hosted.ai-powered GPU infrastructure.

Release notes

Alongside the Hosted.ai module, we’ve introduced several important billing enhancements. Administrators can now add manual commissions to all order-related invoices, making it easier to handle custom partner agreements, sales incentives, or exceptional commission cases without workarounds. We’ve also expanded upgrade billing flexibility by adding support for pro-rata upgrades calculated based on the number of months remaining in the service period, ensuring fair and predictable pricing when customers change plans mid-cycle.

Late fee handling has also been improved. You can now decide whether a late fee should be applied only once per invoice, as in the previous behavior, or calculated per invoice item based on configuration. This gives providers finer control over how penalties are applied, especially for complex or itemized invoices. In addition, accepting estimates for order drafts will now update the order date for non-prorated services, aligning billing timelines more accurately with customer approval. We also fixed an issue where client-specific late fee overrides might not apply to invoice items added manually, ensuring consistency across all billing scenarios.

Security improvements are another important part of this release. Sensitive passwords used in application connections are now hidden in the HTML source for OpenNebula, PowerDNS REST, PowerDNS, and cPanel integrations. This change reduces exposure risk and aligns these modules with best practices for credential handling. For cPanel users, we’ve also added logging for account metric updates, improving transparency and traceability when usage data changes.
