2025 was another remarkable year of rapid development, innovation, and expansion for HostBill. As always, our core mission remained to empower hosting providers, MSPs, and service businesses with the most powerful automation, billing, support, and provisioning platform available. This year, we continued our relentless weekly release cadence, shipped exciting new capabilities, and introduced a host of pioneering AI-driven tools that redefine what’s possible in service automation.

2025 in numbers

Over the course of the year, HostBill delivered 64 regular releases—a testament to our commitment to continuous improvement and responsiveness to customer feedback. Across those releases, the team introduced 463 new features, implemented 61 other notable changes, and resolved 943 bugs to ensure HostBill remained reliable, secure, and performance-optimized. This incredible velocity reflects the breadth and depth of our engineering efforts in 2025.

In addition to feature enhancements and fixes, 2025 saw the launch of several important new provisioning modules including Hestia CP, OpenNebula, and TenantOS, bringing automated service delivery to even more platforms and infrastructure environments.

We also expanded the HostBill ecosystem with 16 new plugins—from powerful billing exports like ZUGFeRD/XRechnung/Factur-X XML export and URL Shortener capabilities to an entirely new suite of AI modules. In fact, a major highlight of 2025 was HostBill’s strong and deliberate focus on artificial intelligence, marking a significant step forward in how automation, support, and customer interaction are handled within the platform. Throughout the year, we introduced a comprehensive set of AI-powered plugins and modules designed to be flexible, provider-agnostic, and deeply integrated into existing HostBill workflows. The release of AI Prompter laid the foundation for customizable, prompt-driven AI automation, followed by native integrations with multiple leading AI providers including OpenAI, GeminiAI, Anthropic AI, DeepSeek AI, Grok AI, OpenRouter AI, and Perplexity AI, giving users full freedom of choice and future-proofing their AI strategy. On top of that foundation, we delivered practical, production-ready AI features such as AI Domain Suggestions, AI Ticket SPAM Filter, AI Translation, the AI Support Agent, and the advanced OpenAI Assistant, bringing real, measurable value to daily operations. It all sets setts the stage for even deeper AI-driven innovation in the years ahead.

Beyond modules and plugins, HostBill also welcomed 1 new domain registrar integration with Moniker, and 3 new payment gateway integrations—WorldPay, Heleket, and Nexi Checkout—giving businesses broader options to manage payments seamlessly.

Throughout the year, we regularly shared product updates, feature deep dives, security advisories, and community milestones on the HostBill blog, keeping our users informed about everything from invoice workflow improvements to anniversary celebrations and major module releases.
