HostBill new release

HostBill update: Addon management enhancements, improvements in notifications & more.

We’re excited to share a fresh round of new features and improvements in HostBill designed to make managing clients, accounts, and staff permissions even more seamless and efficient. From smarter communication tools to refined user interfaces and enhanced control over account addons—here’s what’s new.

Admin panel updates

Communicating quickly with your clients just got easier – in the ‘Notify Clients’ section, administrators can now send a message directly to any phone number, without having to select a client from the list. This is perfect for one-off notifications, urgent updates, or communicating with prospects not yet added as full clients.

We’ve polished the UI for Account Addons and the Account Management interface to make it more intuitive and user-friendly. Navigating and managing addons is now faster, clearer, and more aligned with the rest of the admin panel. Managing addons is now also more powerful and flexible. If you’re deleting an account with active addons, you’ll be asked whether you’d like to change the status of the addons as well—keeping everything clean and in sync. When removing an addon, HostBill will now prompt you with a confirmation and ask if you want to terminate it, ensuring no accidental service interruptions. You can now add addons with a specific pro-rata start date, giving you more control over billing cycles.

We changed staff-level control over client notifications. Previously, only clients could manage their notification preferences via the Client Portal. Now, staff members can customize notification settings per client directly from the admin panel. This gives your support and sales teams greater flexibility in tailoring communication to client needs. To improve usability and clarity, we’ve separated Support and Notifications into two dedicated tabs under Automation Settings in client profile. This change also introduces a new ‘Notifications’ tab under client permissions, where you can define notification overrides.

In HostBill admin panel you will now find a convenient new button to import services directly from the App Connections listing page, making it easier to sync services with connected applications. For domain management, we’ve added the ability to update TLD pricing per individual product, offering greater flexibility in pricing strategy. Priority Support users will notice a refreshed and more efficient admin area ticket listing. Lastly, the Imunify360 and CloudLinux modules now feature improved detection of accounts already present in HostBill during the import process, ensuring smoother integration and avoiding duplicates.
