New release: Document templates preview with real document data, new automation task & more
A new set of updates to HostBill includes the ability to preview Document Templates with real data, new automation task, improvements in Tickets UI, new API capabilities, enhancements across payment modules and more!
One of the most noticeable improvements is the ability to preview document templates using real document data. This enhancement allows you to see exactly how invoices and other documents will appear before they are sent to clients, eliminating guesswork and making customization much more precise.
In the Tickets UI for administrators staff replies now feature a different background, making conversations easier to follow at a glance. This small but impactful change helps teams quickly distinguish between responses, improving clarity and efficiency when handling support requests.
This release also brings powerful new capabilities to the API layer. We’ve added new endpoints that allow you to list custom automation tasks, retrieve available task types, add new tasks, and remove existing ones. These additions give developers significantly more control and flexibility when building custom workflows and integrating HostBill with external systems.
Complementing these API enhancements, we’ve introduced a new automation task: Recalculate recurring price, so you can automatically update recurring pricing based on current configuration or logic, helping ensure billing accuracy without manual intervention.
For users of GoCardless, we’ve introduced a new configuration option that allows you to define invoice processing time which gives you more flexibility in managing payment flows and aligning them with your operational needs.
We’ve also expanded the functionality of Mollie payment methods, specifically iDEAL and Direct Debit. With these updates, you can now configure the system to automatically cancel invoice processing if another payment is detected, reducing the risk of duplicate processing. Additionally, there is an option to mark invoices as processing, giving you better visibility into payment status and improving overall workflow transparency.
Finally, we’ve improved error handling in the Proxmox integration. Failed IP assignment errors are now clearer and more descriptive, making it easier to identify issues and resolve them quickly.
