New release: more powerful domain pricing experience in the 2019 Theme

This week’s HostBill update introduces several practical enhancements designed to improve order management, streamline the domain purchasing experience with a completely enhanced domain pricing interface and provide a safer approach to handling potentially fraudulent orders.

Domain 2019 orderpage pricing improvements

The Domain Cart 2019 Orderpage is optimized for selling domain names and has a great variety of options and settings to manage your domain sales and all the tools needed to create an amazing user experience. Now the Orderpage has received a major usability upgrade, making it significantly easier for customers to browse domain extensions and compare pricing. The improved pricing table now includes pagination for large pricing tables, convenient filters panel, special offer highlighting, interactive price range slider and searchable tag cloud. We also added two new configuration options that give administrators additional control over the interface. With Show tag cloud option you can display clickable tag buttons above the pricing table. Paginate pricing table enables pagination for the pricing table (20/50/100/All per page)

Smarter Fraud Orders Handling

Not every order flagged by fraud detection should be automatically rejected. Sometimes legitimate customers trigger fraud checks due to payment methods, VPN usage, or geographic inconsistencies. HostBill now provides a more flexible way to handle these situations. A new Fraud Orders Handling configuration option has been added under Settings → Ordering. When enabled, orders marked as fraud are no longer immediately blocked from payment. Instead:

  • Customers can still complete payment for the order.
  • Automated provisioning is automatically paused.
  • The order receives the new Pending Review status.
  • Services are not provisioned until a staff member manually reviews and approves the order.
  • Once approved, the normal automation workflow resumes exactly where it stopped.

This allows your team to collect payment while ensuring potentially suspicious orders never reach automatic provisioning before being verified by staff. The new workflow is especially valuable for hosting providers offering VPS, dedicated servers, cloud services, or any products where automatic provisioning should only occur after a manual security check.

Order management has also been improved behind the scenes. When an order is marked as Fraud or Cancelled, any associated upgrade items are now automatically updated to the Cancelled status as well. This keeps upgrade workflows consistent, prevents orphaned upgrade records, and ensures order statuses accurately reflect the final outcome without requiring additional manual cleanup.

Other release notes

HostBill’s API continues to expand with the addition of a new getAccountAddons call. This endpoint allows external applications and integrations to retrieve addon services associated with a hosting account, making it easier to build custom portals, reporting systems, automation scripts, or synchronization tools that require addon information.

For users integrating with Vodia PBX, HostBill now includes a new configuration option that allows administrators to enable or disable HTTPS when connecting to the Vodia server. This provides additional deployment flexibility for different network environments, testing installations, and infrastructure configurations.
