New release: new coupon type, improvements in Knowledgebase and other admin area sections!

We’re slowly approaching the end of the year, but we’re not slowing down with the pace of our weekly releases! In fact, quite a lot of news is introduced today: new coupon type, improvements in Knowledgebase and other admin area sections!

Promotions: new coupon type

HostBill gives you the opportunity to generate and distribute promo codes to your current and new customers to drive engagement and boost sales. You can offer your customers a fixed amount or percentage discount for all or selected products and services in your store and the codes can be valid to only new or existing customers or selected customer groups. The coupons can be applied to the order in cart (for new and existing customers) or to the invoice (only for existing customers). Now we’re adding a new type of coupon that can be added both in the cart and the invoice. This discount can be applied to the total price and is applicable only once and is meant for existing customers.

It’s also possible to add a coupon to the invoice in admin area (in Invoice details -> Actions -> Apply coupon). Accordingly we also added the applyInvoiceCoupon API method which adds a coupon to the invoice.

Admin area

In other admin area news, this release comes with a few usability improvements. In service details you can now quickly reveal and copy the service password thanks to the new buttons. In Emails, when HTML is enabled in emails sent manually HostBill will load the code/wysiwyg editor. In Billing we changed the automatically-generated credit notes to now be also automatically sent to the customers.

We also continue to introduce improvements fo multiple language management. Recently we’ve added support for multiple languages for articles in the News section to enable posting news in multiple languages. Now it’s time for Knowledgebase. From now on you can select the languages (from the list of currently enabled and used languages) that the Knowledgebase articles or categories should be displayed in.

Modules

Two domain registrar modules: IIS.nu and IIS.se now support changes to EPP added by the registrar. The Plesk Reseller integration now is equipped with a handy account import feature, so you can automatically import existing accounts. Dedicated Servers Manages now enables to attach files/images to rack item and to view attached images directly in rack view. Cloud Monitoring has more descriptive logs in a separate log file to debug callbacks from monitoring node. We also changed node detection method from IP to username, to make it easier to setup.
